The Benefits of Self Hypnosis

Are you someone that has counted down from 100, counting sheep that you were told to imagine to calm your active mind so desperately wanting to fall asleep?

I know I’ve done it a few times in my life and for those of you who actually have done it, I believe it helps sometimes, but not always. At least it’s not likely to rid anxiety completely. I’ve learned to help my overactive mind, it requires doing deeper emotional work around fears while retraining the brain.

Becoming certified for Hypnosis and specifically learning the simple basic routines for self hypnosis was a game changer for calming myself to sleep on restless nights, but it increased my ability to go deeper with self meditation with an extra boost in my psychic senses.

We know that 95% of our reality stems from the subconscious mind and that it is accessible in the deep Theta brain wave state, which is that meditative dreamy state we go into as we fall asleep. Doing some sort of self hypnosis practice especially before sleeping is known to restructure deep subconscious beliefs that shape our reality. This empowering routine can increase emotional ease and shift unhealthy thoughts, habits and more.

So if you're not working to make positive healthy suggestions to yourself before bed and upon waking, now is a great time to start.

Guided Meditation has always been pretty natural for me. I fell into it at a young age when I took some guided workshops, but the self discipline and natural ease of guiding myself took practice.

During the certification for hypnosis, I realized how easy self hypnosis can be and that at one point I intuitively led myself to do aspects of it. When I was in college, I trained myself to take short cat naps in my car in between classes, Kung Fu lessons, and work.

My busy schedule didn’t allow time to go home, and my tired mind started almost forcing me to take time outs. My car became my home on the road. In my few attempts to rest, I quickly realized I had to find a way to adapt and relax to the various environments. So I started making little suggestions that I was safe and it’s ok to fall into a restful state anywhere I was parked.

I already talk to myself when I’m alone, thinking out loud to process my thoughts, I just chose to direct it inwards.

Eventually, I trained myself into meditative naps even amongst traffic noises. I learned through doing it every day. Through this process I found if I only sleep for 15-20 min. I felt recharged with less boggy energy after nap energy. Any time passed and I felt sluggish.

My point in sharing this is that we listen to our body and tap into the intuition, maybe even a bit of instinct, we know what is natural and can give us a solution.

In the past few years more sleep and health studies have shown us that it is ideal to only take around 15-20 minute naps no more than 30 min. Otherwise it throws us out of our natural circadian rhythm leaving us likely to be groggy. We now know that quality sleep is the most important aspect for our health, longevity, and mindset.

Naturally overtime I found it easier to drop into deeper nap states in parking lots and places that had a lot of activity. Eventually I started actively meditating more with nap time. It deepens my desire and ease with a self mediation practice.

Years later when I became certified using the simple self hypnosis techniques It gave me a deeper understanding of the subconscious mind, imagination, and what I now know is a gateway in enhancing psychic abilities.

Our inner wisdom knows what to do to embody harmony and a natural restorative order. In my experience, people are too distracted, lacking faith or trust in self, or completely misguided by exterior information.

It is easy and simple for us to do. It takes you through what perhaps you've done before, or not , either way I’ve enhanced the experience in the last lesson with an energetic sound healing attunement and added a fourth step that has proven to be a game changer for me when I felt lack of self esteem and love. It helped me through Covid when I, like many, faced uncertainty, fear, and the heavy energies of the collective consciousness.

In fact what I experienced during the lockdown was something that took me to another level of self intimacy, healing, and awareness. I started recording guided hypnotic trance sessions for others and while I listened to them to edit, I found a deeper appreciation for myself.

Such a powerful experience.

At first I heard myself critiquing my voice as I was attempting to receive the session. I am someone that can be extremely hard on myself, perhaps you can relate?

But this process reminded me of being more an observer of myself and the inner critic. I saw it as an opportunity to show myself some love and asked if I was being a good friend to myself. So I stopped judging myself so harshly as a challenge for growth.

This opened me up to diving further into the journey and I started to fall more in love with my voice , with myself. Appreciation and acceptance filled me and enhanced my self worth on an entirely different level. I also was able to make adjustments that were from a more justified healthy space. The more I did this the more euphoric moments of joy I felt. I noticed how much it helped pull me through being in the wild lockdown experience which at times I felt a numb dullness haunting me. I, the great spirit of the unknown gave me the power tool for an awakening during the worst of times.

It was at times a mind altering experience, much like one that could be perceived when taking psychedelics.

One of the coolest moments I had was prior to the full on lockdown of Covid. It was when I first started doing the recordings and listening to myself. I was with my friend Ritchie who helped by being the catalyst for the scripts, by receiving them and then editing them.

We often would listen to them together after the edits. Many times lying down side by side.

One of the sessions finally brought us into what felt like an emerging telepathic mind connection. Both of us were in each other’s trance state experience, witnessing a similar visual journey.

We shared and found them to be almost identical.

I remember a few weeks after that our experience turned out to be a premonition of the trip I took to Maui where I connected with the Lemurian’s and received an enhancement of my ability to receive messages from a parallel version of myself, another timeline where I had a daughter. My daughter came through with the energy of the “New Earth” high heart frequency, one that helped in many healings during Covid.

Is this difficult for you to believe? Perhaps, but her energy is still with me today and often works with my clients. Believe it and the experience is possible!

Some helpful tips for being successful in Hypnosis: come with an open mind, allow the imagination to lead, trust, and if you have a high IQ it can be advantageous. A high EQ which requires being open without judgment can also be an advantage.

When you truly embrace these concepts you can be successful in changing your reality and enhance the sixth sense, the psychic forms of communication, aka the Claire’s.
